When is the cheapest time to charter a yacht?

Answer

Charter rates vary according to destination, season, yacht and demand. Many destinations have defined high, shoulder and low seasons, with the highest rates generally occurring during periods of strongest demand.

However, there is no universal “cheapest week” across the yacht charter market.

The shoulder and low seasons can sometimes provide lower rates and greater availability, but the weather, cruising conditions, operating areas and local lowest published rate is not necessarily the best overall value if the destination is outside its optimal cruising season. Conversely, a shoulder-season charter can sometimes combine attractive pricing with excellent conditions attractions also need to be considered.

Analysis

The lowest published rate is not necessarily the best overall value if the destination is outside its optimal cruising season. Conversely, a shoulder-season charter can sometimes combine attractive pricing with excellent conditions and fewer crowds.

Broker Comment

Rather than asking only when a yacht is cheapest, we ask when the destination will give you the experience you want at the best overall value. Those aren't always the same thing.
