Sailing Regattas & Events on St Barts
There are a couple of colourful sailing events on St Barts annual events calendar which are worthwhile noting for your yacht charter dates as these times of the year are perfect for renting your yacht. These yachting events include the St. Barth Regatta (celebrated just before Lent), the Saint Barth's Cup (held in April and sponsored by the Saint Barth Yacht Club) as well as the three-day International Regatta in May with racing events.
The St Barths Bucket Regatta is of particular note and is held in early April or late March. The St Barths Bucket Regatta is a gentlemanly yacht race for luxury yachts over 100 feet in length. The race was conceived many years ago by wealthy yachtsmen, Tom Taylor and Abner Doubleday, and has flourished to over 26 entries in 2005. 2006 & 2007 saw even more entries with 2008, 2009 and 2010 expected to continue growth. The race is a rare chance for larger yachts, both private and charter, to gather together and parade around a beautiful race course in a good natured and friendly test of speed and skills. Sailing superyachts racing together makes the St Barths Bucket Regatta an amazing spectacle indeed.

Beaches

St Barthélemy is also known as St Barts. It is an overseas collectivity of France and it is located in the Caribbean. This collective of beautiful Caribbean islands is part of the Leeward Islands in northeast Caribbean comprising the French West Indies, along with St. Martin and Guedeloupe. The island of Saint Barthélemy lies 35 kms southeast of St. Martin. The island is volcanic in origin and it has many shallow reefs that you can explore. They absolutely loved the boat and described it as phenomenal. The meeting with the captain at a café the day before departure was excellent and helped establish a great rapport. They loved the flexibility of having the captain tailor each day around their preferences. The boat would typically move in the morning, although some evenings they would travel as well. The food onboard was exceptional. They did not want to miss a single meal and were consistently impressed with the quality. The crew's service was a major highlight. They loved that the crew knew one another well and were all Croatian, which created a very warm and cohesive atmosphere. The crew offered two massages each day, allowing everyone to take turns enjoying them. The captain would regularly go into town to purchase fresh produce and local fish, which added a wonderful local element to the experience. One day, the captain went out diving for octopus and later enjoyed it as part of their onboard meal. Overall Takeaway: The clients were exceptionally positive about the trip, with the yacht experience, crew, flexibility, food, and personalised service standing out above everything else. They repeatedly emphasised how much they loved being onboard and how little they wanted to leave the boat.

Spectacular in every way! We were only your third charter, yet seeing how well all of you already mesh with each other and us (especially on the dance floor!) was a delight in itself. Unlike some other charters our Primary has made, she said you were excellent at offering ideas on where to go and what to see.
