Can I go scuba diving from a charter yacht?

Answer

Scuba diving can be possible from some charter yachts, but the practical arrangements depend on the yacht’s equipment, crew capabilities, destination and applicable regulations.

Some yachts carry diving equipment and have appropriately qualified crew, while others may use local dive operators.

Guests may need appropriate certification and experience for the type of diving planned.

Analysis

“Diving from a yacht” can mean several different things: using the yacht’s own equipment, joining a local dive operator, or having a specialist diving crew member onboard.

The distinction should be established before the charter.
