Do I need a visa for a yacht charter?

Answer

Possibly. Visa and entry requirements depend on your nationality, the countries you enter, the duration of your stay and the specific itinerary.

A yacht charter does not generally exempt guests from normal immigration requirements. If the itinerary involves several countries, each country's requirements may need to be considered.

Requirements can change, so they should be checked with the relevant government or immigration authorities before departure.

Analysis

Visa requirements are personal to the traveller as well as destination-specific. Two guests travelling on the same yacht can potentially have different requirements because of their nationalities.

This is particularly important when planning multi-country itineraries.

Broker Comment

We'll flag the countries involved in your itinerary, but we recommend that every guest checks their own entry requirements before travelling. Don't leave visa questions until the week of embarkation.
