What is the MYBA Charter Agreement?

Answer

The MYBA Yacht Charter Agreement is a widely used industry charter contract for large-yacht charters.

It sets out the contractual relationship between the relevant parties and addresses matters such as the yacht, charter period, charter fee, expenses, cancellation, delivery, use of the yacht and other rights and obligations.

The actual agreement and any special provisions should always be reviewed carefully because the terms applying to a particular charter are determined by the contract signed for that charter.

Broker Comment

We don't expect a client to become a maritime lawyer before chartering a yacht. Our role is to explain the commercially important provisions in plain English and make sure you understand the practical implications before signing.
