Can I request a particular cuisine or menu from the yacht chef?

Answer

Yes. Guests can normally communicate their preferred cuisines, dishes, ingredients and dining style before the charter.

The chef can then plan menus and provisioning accordingly, subject to the availability of ingredients in the cruising area.

Advance notice is particularly useful for specialist ingredients, cultural cuisines and complex dietary requirements.

Analysis

The preference sheet is an important planning tool rather than simply a shopping list. It gives the chef insight into how the group actually eats.

The more specific the information, the better the chef can tailor the experience.

Broker’s advice

Don’t worry about making the preference sheet sound sophisticated. Tell us what you genuinely eat at home, what you love and what you don’t like. That’s much more useful to the chef.
