Can the tender take us to restaurants from the yacht?

Answer

Often, yes. If the yacht can anchor or berth appropriately near a restaurant, the tender can sometimes transport guests between the yacht and shore.

The practicality depends on the restaurant’s location, local tender regulations, weather, sea conditions and the availability of suitable landing points.

Reservations and timing may also need to be coordinated with the yacht’s itinerary.

Analysis

This is one of the ways a yacht charter can combine onboard accommodation with destination-based experiences. However, not every coastal restaurant has suitable tender access.

Broker’s advice

If dining ashore is important, tell us which restaurants or types of places interest you. We can build the itinerary around them rather than simply assuming that every restaurant is accessible from the yacht.
