What time should I arrive for yacht charter embarkation?

Answer

Your embarkation time should be confirmed in advance with your broker and the yacht’s crew. It will depend on the yacht’s location, port arrangements, the previous charter, provisioning and any operational preparations required before departure.

Arriving at the destination does not necessarily mean you can board the yacht immediately. The crew may need time to complete cleaning, provisioning, safety checks and other preparations.

Analysis

The scheduled embarkation time is part of the yacht’s operational planning. Arriving substantially earlier does not necessarily allow an earlier boarding.

Broker’s advice

We’ll confirm the practical arrival arrangements with the yacht rather than leaving you to work it out when you land. If your flights arrive early, we can also look at luggage storage, a hotel or other generally explain how the yacht operates, introduce key facilities and discuss the initial itinerary arrangements before boarding.
