What happens if sea conditions change while we are swimming?

Answer

The crew monitors conditions throughout the charter and may ask guests to leave the water if conditions become unsuitable.

Changes in wind, swell, current, vessel traffic or other circumstances can make a previously suitable swimming location less appropriate.

The crew may also move the yacht to a different position if necessary.

Analysis

Water conditions can change quickly, particularly in exposed locations. A safe charter therefore depends on continuous assessment rather than treating the conditions at the start of an activity as fixed.

Broker’s advice

The crew will always put safety ahead of keeping an activity going. If conditions change, they may ask everyone back onboard or move the yacht. That judgement is part of what you are relying on the professional crew to manage.
