What is the minimum yacht charter period?

Answer

There is no universal minimum charter period. Many crewed superyachts are offered primarily for weekly charters, while some accept shorter periods subject to availability and owner approval.

The minimum period can vary according to the yacht, destination, charter season, itinerary and whether the yacht has another booking immediately before or after your requested dates.

Analysis

The contractual charter period and the practical availability of a yacht are separate issues. A yacht may technically be available for fewer days but still be commercially unattractive to the owner for a very short booking.

Broker comment

We can often find flexibility where a yacht has a gap between two existing bookings. This is one reason why having a broker search the actual fleet rather than relying only on advertised weekly rates can be useful.
