Can I have friends or additional guests visit the yacht during my charter?

Answer

Possibly, but additional visitors are subject to the yacht’s capacity, safety requirements, cruising location, marina or port rules and the terms of the charter.

Overnight guests are a different matter from short-term visitors because the yacht’s certified accommodation capacity applies.

The captain should be informed dinner is very different from a large party with external guests, entertainment and significant equipment party, live music, a product event or something larger. We can then identify yachts where the event genuinely in advance of any planned visitors.

Analysis

A yacht may have space for additional people to visit during the day without being authorised to accommodate them overnight.

Local regulations and safety requirements can also limit visitor numbers.

If you want to invite friends ashore or have them join you for lunch, tell us before the charter. We can establish what the yacht and local regulations allow rather than leaving it to the day itself.
