How much luggage can I bring on a yacht charter?

Answer

The amount of luggage you can bring depends on the yacht's available storage, the number of guests, the cabin configuration and how you are travelling to the yacht.

Soft-sided luggage is often easier to store than rigid suitcases because yacht cabins can have limited storage space.

If you are travelling by helicopter or small aircraft to reach the yacht, separate baggage weight restrictions may also apply.

Analysis

A yacht can have generous accommodation while still having relatively limited luggage storage. This is particularly important for smaller yachts and when guests are travelling with substantial or rigid luggage.

The transfer arrangements should therefore be considered alongside the yacht itself.

Broker Comment

We recommend travelling with practical, collapsible luggage where possible. If you're bringing specialist equipment, unusually large bags or a lot of luggage, tell us before the charter so we can check the storage and transfer arrangements.
