Can I request specific anchorages during my charter?

Answer

Yes. Guests can identify preferred bays, beaches or anchorages as part of their itinerary planning.

Whether the yacht can visit a particular location depends on factors such as local regulations, yacht dimensions, draft, weather, sea conditions, anchorage availability and the captain’s assessment.

A preferred anchorage is therefore a request rather than a guarantee.

Analysis

This is especially important in popular destinations where some anchorages may be crowded, restricted or unsuitable for a particular yacht.

Broker’s advice

If you’ve seen a particular bay or beach that you really want to visit, tell us before the charter. We can assess whether it works for the yacht and build alternatives into the itinerary where necessary.
