Does a newer yacht necessarily make a better charter yacht?

Answer

Not necessarily. Age is one factor in assessing a charter yacht, but it does not by itself determine the quality of the experience.

A well-maintained older yacht may offer exceptional design, space, crew and service, while a new yacht may have modern technology and contemporary design but not necessarily be the best fit for a particular group.

Refit history, maintenance, management, crew, layout and operational standards can all be important.

Analysis

The useful comparison is not simply new versus old. It is the condition, specification, management and suitability of the yacht relative to your requirements.

Broker Comment

Some of the most successful charter yachts are not the newest yachts in the fleet. A yacht with an outstanding crew, proven charter operation and excellent maintenance can be a very compelling choice.
