Can I change my yacht charter preferences after submitting the preference sheet?

Answer

Usually, changes can be communicated after the initial preference sheet has been submitted, particularly if they are provided with sufficient notice.

Changes close to embarkation may be more difficult to accommodate, especially where they involve specialist provisioning, transfers, equipment or other arrangements that have already been organised.

Important changes should be communicated as soon as possible.

Analysis

The earlier a change is known, the more options the crew and broker have to accommodate it.

This is particularly important for dietary requirements, guest numbers, arrival arrangements and activities requiring advance booking.

Broker’s advice

If something changes, tell us—even if you’re worried it is too late. We can ask the yacht what is possible. It’s always better to communicate a change than to assume it can’t be accommodated.
