Should I tell the yacht crew about medical conditions?

Answer

If a medical condition could affect a guest’s safety, activities, diet or ability to participate in the itinerary, it is sensible to discuss it with the broker and crew before the charter. The crew can then understand any relevant requirements and prepare appropriately. Guests should distinguish between information that is genuinely important for safety and personal medical information that does not need to be shared unnecessarily.

Broker’s advice

If something could materially affect a guest’s safety onboard, we’d rather know in advance. That allows the captain and crew to understand the situation and plan sensibly.
