What is included in the yacht charter price?

Answer

What is included depends on the yacht, charter agreement and destination, but the base charter rate generally covers the use of the yacht and the services of its crew during the agreed charter period.

Other items may be included or excluded depending on the terms. These can include fuel, food and beverages, marina fees, taxes, communications, transfers, water toys and other expenses.

The charter agreement is the definitive source for what is included in a particular booking.

Analysis

“Included” is one of the most important words to examine when comparing yachts. Two yachts with identical weekly rates can have different contractual inclusions and therefore different expected total costs.

Broker Comment

We prefer to go through the inclusions line by line with clients. It removes ambiguity and makes yacht comparisons much more meaningful.
