What is a yacht charter preference sheet?

Answer

A yacht charter preference sheet is a document or questionnaire used to collect information that helps the crew prepare for the guests.

It may cover dietary requirements, food and beverage preferences, allergies, cabin arrangements, activities, special occasions, transfers and other personal requirements.

The precise format varies between yachts and charter operations.

Analysis

The preference sheet is one of the most useful ways to turn a generic yacht charter into a personalised experience.

It gives the crew information before the guests arrive, allowing them to prepare rather than discover requirements during the charter.

Broker’s advice

Take the preference sheet seriously—it is your opportunity to tell the crew what will make the week work for you. You don’t need to know every detail immediately; we can help you understand what information is useful.
