What should I put on my yacht charter preference sheet?

Answer

Include anything that will help the crew understand how you and your guests like to spend your time.

At minimum, provide guest names and ages, dietary requirements and allergies, preferred food and drinks, activity interests, special occasions and any relevant mobility or medical considerations.

You can also include preferred breakfast habits, favourite dishes, wine preferences, children's routines, water-sports interests, preferred wake-up times and whether the group prefers an active or relaxed itinerary.

Analysis

The preference sheet is most valuable when it describes behaviour and preferences, rather than simply ticking boxes. For example, “we like a light breakfast and prefer lunch around 2pm” can be much more useful than simply selecting “breakfast”.

Broker Comment

Think of the preference sheet as a conversation with the crew before you meet them. The more they understand your group, the more naturally they can anticipate what you want.
