Can I board the yacht early if I arrive before the embarkation time?

Answer

Sometimes, but early boarding depends on whether the yacht is ready and whether the crew can accommodate the request.

A yacht may still be undergoing cleaning, provisioning, maintenance or other preparation after the previous charter. Port or marina arrangements can also affect access.

If early boarding is important, it should be discussed with the broker in advance rather than assumed.

Analysis

There is an important difference between arriving early at the embarkation port and being able to commence the charter early.

The crew needs to prepare the yacht properly before guests board, and the previous charter may affect the available preparation window.

Broker’s advice

We can ask the yacht whether early access is possible, but we won’t promise something the crew can’t realistically deliver. If you have an early arrival, we’ll help find the most practical solution.
