Azimut is a leading Italian power boat company which designs and manufacturers luxury motor yachts. Part of the Benetti Group, Azimut Yachts utilises composite materials to build motorboats ranging from 39' to well over 100'. There are two model ranges, one being a flybridge type and the other a performance orientated oper style yacht.
The company operates from production facilities located in northern and central Italy. The designs are often progressive and the styling is modern and contemporary. These luxury motor yachts are very much in demand and generally make very successful private as well as charter yachts.
Azimut Yachts has been voted the world's number one producer of 80' plus yachts for 4 years consecutively. Some of the recent awards include the Azimut 103s – best motor yacht of the year, The Italian Industry Federation Champions of Growth and the wider Azimut-Benetti Group becoming the The Largest World Wide Mega Yachts Builder. The Azimut brand is often recognised for its excellence in design and build quality and typically receives many awards every year.
Azimut History:
It all began in 1969 when Paolo Vitelli started his own yacht company in Turin, Italy before taking his University degree. The purpose of the business was to charter sailing boats but he developed his passion into a business, becoming a renowned manufacturer of luxury motor yachts.
In June 2003 opened a new Viareggio plant located in the heart of Viareggio harbour, this area of 52,000 sq m positioned on the water’s edge to allow the Company to significantly extend the current operations.
The Azimut yacht designs are intelligent and well thought out while the yacht’s styling is modern and evolutionary. Well regarded as practical and stylish these motor yachts are very much in demand and also generally make very successful charter yachts.
