The idyllic and charming Italian town of Palau lies on the north eastern section of the Sardinian coast, making it a popular yacht charter location. The name “Palau” was derived from a 14th century term – parao or paragu – which literally means the “safest location on the coast.” The old Palau was considered then by fishermen as such, hence the reference to the place as “Palau.”

Captain Mate runs an excellent crew and is very professional. The food was excellent and varied. The Captain’s wife was in charge of the kitchen and worked tirelessly to impress us with her skills. We had a wonderful time on board and have nothing to complain about.
