VANGUARD

Motor yacht VANGUARD is a 27m (88.5ft) charter yacht based in Turkey. She was originally built for the United States Navy as an 83 foot cutter that served during World War II and after the war ended. These cutters were designed as off-shore ASW patrol boats. The present owner of the yacht VANGUARD completely rebuilt the boat into a luxurious superyacht in 2007 with new engines and machinery, electronics and a brand new interior. The only remaining feature of the yacht was her sturdy hull. The refit took place at Istanbul’s famous RMK shipyard where no expense was spared.

The VANGUARD motor yacht was built from cedar wood, an incredibly durable and stable wood – the best material for wooden yacht construction. Charter yacht VANGUARD will take you on an historical voyage that will make you feel you’re cruising on a military vessel, while enjoying every modern convenience. As a 83 feet displacement motor yacht, you’ll enjoy the large living areas such as large saloon, aft deck and super large fly bridge. A bar is located on the fly bridge and you can enjoy your drinks while you’re lying under the sun, playing backgammon, or talking to your friends.

M/Y VANGUARD’s crew has totally separate living and sleeping areas, so you’ll definitely not be disturbed and feel free to enjoy your time on the boat. Three experienced crew members will ensure you have a charter vacation to remember.

Motor yacht VANGUARD is 24m at the waterline but is a total of 27m in length.
