Luxury sailing yacht PS46 was introduced at the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show in September, representing the latest project out of the Philippe Briand design team, in partnership with Tony Hambrook and Alloy Yachts. The 46m (151’) superyacht PS46 is a striking performance sloop, developed as a fully engineered turnkey project, with a range of personalised options.

Luxury yacht PS46 is ready to commence build immediately and is offered with a reduced build time.  The design has been developed to cater to those owners looking for a high quality individual build, without the time and cost that a full custom boat usually demands.

With Philippe Briand and Alloy Yachts having many years expertise in sailboat design and construction the PS46 yachts is set to be a winning formula. The design represents many of the most popular features of their respective award winning fleets.

“I believe the 46 m should be a very attractive size for owners. At this length, our design offers a roomier interior, raised up saloon and a huge owner’s private space in all of the three versions of the layout. She is also the largest performing “PANAMAX” sloop we can design, her mast reaching the limit of 62.5 m above the water (performance version). Together with my team, we are very happy to bring all of our experience to the design of the PS46 and to collaborate, from inception, with such a highly skilled team such as Alloy yachts. We are confident that we will create together the best of the PS46’s,” said Philippe Briand, Naval Architect.

“Fully optimized, with all engineering design work complete, this exciting design offers our customers the quality and individuality of a custom build, at a fixed cost without the time investment that a custom build often requires,” said Tony Hambrook, Managing Director of Alloy Yachts.

Following the successful launch of the multiple award winning 67m mega yacht Vertigo, this partnership between Alloy and Briand was a natural fit.  Briand have designed more than 20 super sailing yachts and Alloy Yachts has built more than 40 of them.

The striking 46M super yacht PS46 is a fast performance sloop design. Speed on the water is an important requirement for many owners and Briand’s expertise in streamlined fast hulls lends itself perfectly to this project.

With the overall design and engineering set, the PS46 superyacht design can be personalised to her owner in several ways. The base sail package can be further optimised with an optional race upgrade that includes a PANAMAX rig, carbon rigging and extended sail plan. Owners can choose between three distinct interior design packages developed by the Alloy Interior Design Team for the ultimate luxury and comfort on board.

All together,  an attractive package and partnership.
