The world-renowned Italian luxury yacht building company announced today, the  presents of eleven of their beautiful models at the Cannes International Boat Show, which is taking place from 8th September (tomorrow) through to 13th September 2010.

Eleven Azimut models will be shown at the 2010 Cannes Boat Show. Eleven vessels with the unmistakable Azimut Yachts signature which, like all the most important names in fashion and art, is the symbol of a unique personality and character. Recognising an Azimut yacht is simple: there is nothing uncertain about its style, it conveys the strength of a leader, in terms of both numbers and philosophy. Azimut Yachts is the world leader in the production and marketing of pleasure boats from 38 to 120 feet and it is also a pioneering company in the areas of stylistic and engineering research. The lines and performance of an Azimut vessel represent the best of all things Italian: a love of beauty and a passion for the sea.

Like precious works of art, Azimut has decided to group its fleet into Collections. Four art galleries containing true masterpieces. This decision brings the Shipyard even closer to the Owners: whether sports enthusiasts or connoisseurs of absolute comfort, every Owner can find a Collection with which to identify, with which he can establish a more direct, instinctive and natural relationship. He can choose his yacht from within the Collection. And it will always be a yacht with the Azimut signature.

The eleven models presented at the 2010 Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes are perfect examples of the Flybridge, S and Grande Collections. The Magellano Collection, on the other hand, will be a star attraction at the 2010 Genoa International Boat Show with the world preview of the new Magellano 50 yacht.

THE AZIMUT FLYBRIDGE COLLECTION

Azimut’s Flybridge Collection offers the widest range of models in the world; from 38 to 100 feet, the line comprises yachts which have won prizes and awards for their comfort, modernity and innovation. It represents the history and tradition of Azimut with thousands of units produced during the 40 years the Shipyard has been in business. - the flybridge is always one of the most spacious in the category and best equipped for life in plain air, an area dedicated to relaxing and socialising, with sun-pad, table and bar;

THE AZIMUT S COLLECTION

The lines and the colours of the S Collection of motor yachts reflect the boldest and most aggressive side of Azimut. Sports models, characterised by superb design: marine creatures, quick and agile, in search of enthusiasts who appreciate performance and technological innovation, but at the same time know they deserve luxury and comfort, as always interpreted by Azimut with its extreme attention to detail, materials, fabrics and leather. Just what you wouldn’t expect on board a sports boat but exactly what you would like. Launched in 2003, the motoryacht  S Collection represents the most advanced frontier of the Shipyard in terms of technological and design innovation. One of the most exciting features are the extraordinary side windows, which – used for the first time on the 68S and the 86S yacht, the first models in this line – have revolutionised the nautical world, becoming one of the distinguishing features of Azimut. In tune with the forward-looking attitude of its Clients, Azimut has introduced unprecedented solutions in the models of this collection which have then been applied also to the other collections:

• the motor yacht 40S is a trail blazer in terms of eco-compatible yachting, introducing solar panels and the use of devices with low energy consumption;

• in the 43S, the IPS propulsion system was used for the first time, an innovative drive which facilitates manoeuvring in all situations and with all types of consumption;

• carbon fibre is used to manufacture the deck house and the flybridge in the 72S, which can reach a speed of up to 40 knots and offers unlimited comfort on the upper deck. The spectacular all-glass hard top which can be opened from the inside enhances contact with the marine environment on the main deck;

• the 62S motor yacht is the first boat over 60 feet to mount the POD 4000, a propulsion system which further improves performance (in terms of consumption and speed) and manoeuvrability in all operating conditions.

The Grande Collection comprises the entire offering of Azimut Yachts in the segment over 100 feet and gives an Italian-sounding name to the approach which Azimut has always adopted in the relationship with its Clients and which has made the shipyard the most popular in the Megayacht world for over 12 years.

THE AZIMUT MAGELLANO COLLECTION

For those who consider the journey and not just the destination to be important, for those who enjoy mapping out their route on the spur of the moment and want to be sure that they can operate in complete safety and with maximum independence. For those who know that the environment is the most precious of luxury goods and that the mark we leave must be as unobtrusive as possible, the Magellano motor yacht Collection comprises semi-displacement vessels for long-range trips, ensuring a high level of on-board autonomy and safety in all sea and wind conditions. It is certified by class A homologation and confirmed by the 2,000 sea mile nautical test completed by the motoryacht Magellano 74.
