The highly experienced race team at Real Club Nautico de Palma headed up by Gaspar Morey will again manage the all so important racing. The Superyachts will be using the new ISYR rating system, which was well received at the recent British Virgin Islands regatta and the St Barth’s Bucket, whereas the J Class yachts will fleet race in their own class under their JCA rules.

The SYC Dock is now at full capacity with 19 entries and a few places remain for yachts who shall be accommodated in close proximity. As in previous years the yachts will be berthed stern-to at Moll Vell (formerly Pier 46) and STP and a central tented area will be the base for the post-race social programme. The Prize Giving Evening will be held at Es Baluard Museum overlooking the Paseo Maritimo and the yachts in the Port of Palma with live music from Groov Collectiv.

Sea trials for charter yacht TELEOST refitted by Pendennis

The beautiful 49-metre De Voogt designed charter yacht Teleost arrived in Falmouth-based Pendennis early October to undergo a six-month refit. The extensive refit of motor yacht Teleost comprised a 5-year survey, new paintwork, as well as a substantial upgrade to her interiors.

Zyanya Sebastian, Chief Stewardess on the Mediterranean luxury Charter Yacht TITANIA created the ‘Best Table Setting’ in the competition for 50m yachts and above at the 2013 MYBA Genoa Charter Show. The 72-metre Lurssen motor yacht Titania (ex Apoise) was recently relaunched from the German shipyard, boasting additional 4 metres on her stern. Her exterior was designed by Espen Oeino with lovely interior by Francois Zuretti.

Titania’s recent upgrade included  a new beach club and sauna, a fully equipped air-conditioned sun-deck gym as well as a health spa. She also boasts a second master suite that has been created on her upper deck, now providing accommodation to 12 guests in 7 cabins, plus 3 supernumeraries. Charter guests aboard are pampered by a crew of 21 professionals headed by Captains Vaughan Hill and Neil Evans. She is available for EUR€ 600,000.00 per week plus expenses during the high season.

A very successful 5th ADRIATIC BOAT SHOW attended by Crewed Charter Yachts and Agents

The 5th edition of International Nautical Fair “Adriatic Boat Show” took place at the new venue – waterfront of the popular summer yacht charter destination – Šibenik in Croatia. The event was held from May 9 to 12, 2013.

The focus of the show was on the Crewed Yacht Charter in Croatia as the significant growing segment of the nautical tourism in Croatia. Therefore 23 great crewed charter yachts were exposed and more than 50 charter agents from 15 countries came to Šibenik to inspect the yachts, meet the crew and find out more about the region of Šibenik as one of the most attractive and central spots of Croatia.

The show gathered around 70 exhibitors in total and the majority confirmed their participance in 2014, too. The manufacturers of marine equipment engines and electronics, yacht agencies, various suppliers, insurance companies and banks introduced their products and services at the fair.

One of the aims of the Adriatic Boat Show is to promote Šibenik and the surrounding region as a nautical center of the Adriatic and a unique tourist destination, therefore the boat trips, sightseeing and match making were organized during the show.

Evening parties, concerts and socializing on yachts marked Adriatic Boat Show 2013. YACHT HOP evening was arranged on crewed charter yachts, during which the participants of the fair had an opportunity to taste authentic delicacies of Dalmatia and excellent selection of regional wines, as well to establish new contacts in a pleasant atmosphere. The biggest yacht of the fair – the 42m charter yacht Penny Mae, hosted Korta Katarina party to promote the famous vinery, in collaboration with the prime local restaurants Boba and Opat-Kornati.

The office and workshop in Palma de Mallorca will offer services related to maintenance and service, as well as measurements, inspections, modifications, alterations or even complete refits. Upgrades to existing systems can also be carried out to ensure that onboard comfort remains optimal. This new facility, which permanently hosts engineers and management in Palma, was a logical consequence of the increasing amount of work available in Palma for the Dutch company.

The office and workshop are located on the Carrer Monseñor Palmer, within walking distance of many of Palma de Mallorca’s marinas. This is also the location of the warehouse, from where common items are delivered directly from stock. The new location allows engineers to quickly be on site whenever assistance is required.

Thanks to the short communication lines with the headquarters on Urk, backup is always available and flexible deployment assured. First-class support for engineering, panel installation, inventory and logistics is also guaranteed along with more engineer manpower when required.
