Southern Wind launch SW 102 sailing yacht HEVEA

Following some days of delay due to the strong Cape Doctor wind, which was blowing in Cape Town, the SW 102 sailing yacht Hevea was launched and christened by the respected South African luxury yacht builder Southern Wind on Friday, February 22nd at 8:00 am.

Superyacht Hevea is the hull n° 2 of the brand new SW 102 model, designed by Farr and Nauta Design offices and she is the sistership of luxury yacht Almagores II, the finalist of the World Superyacht Award 2013.

At a glance, SW 102 Hevea yacht shows her glamour and strong personality. This is not only because of the peculiar logo (the owner is a comics passionate), but also for the sophisticated taste of the interiors combined with the outstading technical choices.

The prominent South African shipyard, Southern Wind, is currently working on the SW 103 yacht (the Streamline version of SW 102). The SW 82 yacht hull n° 1 is also under construction, scheduled for launch on May 2013.
