Mondo Marine, this prestigious brand with rich Italian heritage, reached another landmark when Alessandro Falciai and Roberto Zambrini, Owners of Mondo Marine, and Guangfu Zhang, Managing Director of Sease Yachting Co., Ltd jointly announced their partnership to produce in China Mondo Marine fibre glass boats at the occasion of Hainan Rendezvous in Hainan, China on Friday 28 March 2014. All the Mondo Marine fiber glass boats will be produced in Sease shipyard with the support from Mondo Marine Engineering. The models to be produced for the first stage will be 53 feets, 62 feets and 88 feets.

This led to some notable events and milestones, not only for these two companies but also for the boat building industry as a whole. Firstly, the collaboration between these two brands allows Chinese owners to enjoy Italian brand products with reasonable cost as well as exquisite style and quality.

Originally as shipbuilder and repairer since 1915, Campanella shipyard (as Mondo Marine was then known) achieved success with a team of highly dedicated professionals at any level. In 1975 Campanella designed, built and delivered the 48m motor yacht MOHAMEDIA awarded the same year as best built motor-yacht classed Lloyd’s Register. The yacht was owned by the Arab millionaire Adan Kashoggi, the wealthiest man in the world at that time.

This great achievement gained a major annotation within the history of Italian shipyards, also thanks to the ship’s technical and stylistic features turning her into a true innovation icon among luxury megayachts.

In 1978 Mondo Group founded Mondo Marine. Started off in Alba with mid-sized yachts, in the early nineties the production changed to custom-made steel and aluminium alloy yachts over the 40 m. length and was first moved to Genoa and subsequently to the current Savona location (former Campanella’s).

In the first half of 2013 Mondo Marine S.P.A. was taken over by Mr. Alessandro Falciai and Mr. Roberto Zambrini who officially sealed the acquisition of the company’s brand and production site on May 30, 2013. All Mondo Marine vessels are designed, engineered and built at the production site in Savona.

62 are the units built so far by Mondo Marine in addition to the number previously reached by Campanella Shipyard. One example is the stellar charter yacht TRIBU’, the first yacht to be awarded Green Star certification by RINA, showing her owner’s environmental commitment through a series of technical criteria.

Mondo Marine offers a full-cycle production, right from the cutting of the hull steel sheets, and each detail of its luxury yachts exports worldwide the company’s commitment to excellence combined to Italian skills and talent.

Right after recently opened a branch in the Principality of Monaco, Mondo Marine made its moves to China market. Alessandro Falciai and Roberto Zambrini believe that China market will be one of the future markets not only for small and mid-size yachts, but also for the megayachts. In Monaco Boat Show 2013, Mondo Marine signed a Dealership Agreement with Sease Yachting Co. for the Chinese territory. Only 6 months later, Mondo Marine decided to invest and become Shareholder in Sease Yachting Co.,Ltd. to produce Mondo Marine fiber glass yachts dedicated for Chinese market. The strong confidence in the market and its partner made Mondo Marine take this big move.

Sease Yachting Co., Ltd is a young and dynamic company, founded in 2007 and based in Jiangsu province. From the beginning, Sease always aim to produce better and more luxurious crafts year after year compared to other Chinese shipyards.

With its know-how of China market, Sease collaborated with worldwide top designer Bill Dixon and Cor D. Rover to develop its products to meet the needs of Chinese consumers. Up to today, Sease has already launched 3 models in the market, Sease 46’, Sease 53’ and Sease 62’. With its outstanding combination of design and performance, Sease yachts are recognized by the consumers and won a good fame in the market within a few years. 14 units of Sease 53’ has been delivered since its launch in 2010 and 7 units of Sease 62’ has been delivered since its launch in 2012. And the first 46’ has just been delivered at the beginning of 2014.

Mondo Marine’s entrance in the Company will no doubt help Sease Yachting Co., Ltd to reach international level not only in technological innovations but also the latest up-to-date material processed. And Sease’s sales network and professional after-service system will ensure the distribution of the boats.

The production of the fiber glass yachts with Mondo Marine’s trademark will be completed controlled by Mondo Marine’s engineering. The existing 53’ and 62’ boats will be renewed with Italian touch and a brand new 88’ will be designed by Mondo Marine, the first unit is expected to be completed at the beginning of 2015.

When announcing this great news, Alessandro Falciai with Roberto Zambrini and Guangfu Zhang showed their confidence in the China market, “We believed that this collaboration will bring a truly Italian luxury lifestyle experience to the market. The owners will be those willing to buy a craft of creativity and quality”.
