La Belle Classe Academy launched by Yacht Club de Monaco

A new training centre for the Yacht Club de Monaco (YCM) members as well as yachting professionals, La Belle Classe Academy was first introduced during the Captains Forum, which took place at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show in September. Its aim is to encourage development and promotion of yachting professions.

La Belle Classe Academy represents a continuation of the three existing arms: La Belle Classe Tradition for classic yacht owners, La Belle Classe Superyachts for luxury yacht owners, as well as La Belle Classe Destinations for marinas and yacht clubs in development.

Dedicated to owners, but also open to anyone involved in yachting, crew members or future boat owners, the Academy is based in the Yacht Club de Monaco’s facilities on Quai Louis II and its own YCM Marina. It offers navigation and pleasure boat courses, with a strong component focused on perfecting the ‘Art of Service, Etiquette and Protocol’ aboard.

Three courses are available. The first two, ‘Navigation Techniques’ and the ‘Art of Service, Etiquette and Protocol’, are open to professionals, while the third, ‘Pleasure boats’, is reserved for Yacht Club de Monaco members only.
