The second hybrid-power aluminium yacht, YN 19150 PROJECT ELECTRA, has been launched at Heesen.

Motor yacht Project Electra launched at Heesen

Alike her sistership HOME, PROJECT ELECTRA benefits from the FDHF hull, a diesel propulsion, as well as diesel-electric propulsion. With the internal volume of under 500GT, she provides superb comfort onboard combined with the striking exterior designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects.

The spacious outdoor living areas were created with an emphasis on enjoying life at sea. Here, the guests can sunbathe on the vast sundeck with Jacuzzi, relax and dine alfresco and laze in the lounge area aft and dive into the water from the swim platform.

Main Saloon

Cristiano Gatto created the interiors with “a sense of elegant calm”. Flooded with natural light indoor areas are styled with low cabinetry to allow guests to admire the surroundings from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The contrasting dark oak flooring and soft colour palette used in the decor visually enlarge the areas, providing airy and light atmosphere onboard. The grand staircase is one of the design elements that add to the elegant look of the interior.

The main deck master suite comprises of the bedroom spanned across the full beam, bathroom facilities with marble shower, large vanity, separate toilet room, and a private office. The lower deck hosts a full-beam VIP, two double and two twin cabins, all with en-suite facilities and direct access to the gymnasium and sauna, located aft.

Owner’s Cabin

Not only the yacht is eco-friendly and fuel-efficient, but she can also operate in four different cruising modes. The hybrid mode is designed to provide silent cruising (with a noise level of just 45dB at 9 knots) and high manoeuvrability. With a speed of 9-12 knots the yacht cruises in the economic mode with main engines and generators off, offering low fuel consumption and prolonged generator life. The cruising mode with a speed of 12-15 knots makes diesel engines drive the propellers, while the generators supply the electrical demand onboard. With a top speed of 16.3 knots, the generator-powered shaft motors work alongside with the main engines, while the yacht cruises in the boost mode.
