The 21st edition of the Dubai International Boat Show will see 11 prominent Super Yacht Experience members taking part with two new superyacht builders, Mondo Marine and Palmer Johnson, attending this year. Prized Super Yacht Experience members taking part this year include: AMELS, Benetti, CRN, Fincantieri, Heesen, Lürssen, Mondo Marine, Oceanco, Palmer Johnson, Sanlorenzo and Trinity. For the first time, Sanlorenzo will showcase one of its luxurious superyachts on water at the Dubai International Boat Show.

Super Yacht Experience newcomer Mondo Marine is located in the popular yacht building area of Savona, Italy, with the expertise and facilities to build luxury superyachts from light alloy and steel ranging from 29 metres to over 50 metres in length. American superyacht builder and newcomer Palmer Johnson specialises in the construction of luxury high-performance superyachts and are contributing to a generation carbon fibre yachts with a revolutionary hull design that are faster, more efficient, stable and spacious.

“As Trinity Yachts continues to expand its global reach, the Dubai International Boat Show provides an ideal platform to tap into the Middle East luxury boating market and build relationships with potential buyers. We have gained recognition as one of the world’s elite builders of custom superyachts of high quality craftsmanship, state-of-the-art construction and engineering techniques acquired from many years of experience in the industry. We anticipate a strong response from potential buyers in the region this year,” said Jimmy Rivers, Vice President of Trinity Yachts.

The Middle East has long been associated with the world’s most luxurious superyachts. According to Superyacht.com’s 2013 forecast, 60% of the Top 100 superyachts are owned by Middle East residents. In addition, 55% of the Top 20 superyachts in the world currently have Middle East owners.

“The Dubai International Boat Show is synonymous with luxury yachting, and is the perfect opportunity for superyacht builders to market their high-end products to a burgeoning audience. The development of the Super Yacht Experience pavilion supports the growing demand for superyachts in this lucrative market from regional buyers,” said Trixee Loh, Senior Vice President of Dubai World Trade Centre, organiser of Dubai International Boat Show.

“The lure of seeing these multi-million dollar superyachts at close range appeals to a range of leisure boating enthusiasts, whether they are a high-end prospective buyer or a first-time visitor,” Loh added.

Marcel Onkenhout, Chief Executive Officer of Oceanco – one of the world’s finest luxury large yacht builders with the distinction of having built the largest yachts in Holland and having several 80 to 110m projects under construction – said: “Dubai International Boat Show’s exclusive location, select set-up and high profile visitors afford us the opportunity to promote our yachts and reach local and worldwide potential buyers. Oceanco has a strong order book and when the new facility is completed, we will be able to double our build capacity.”

World renowned superyacht manufacturer, Lürssen, is among the makers of some of the world’s largest yachts including the 155 metre-long motor yacht ‘Al Said’, owned by Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman.
