Getting to Montenegro

Montenegro has two international airports at Tivat and Podgorica. These airports can accommodate private jets which is good news if you own a private jet. Take note that foreign-flagged superyachts must have a vignette (permit) to use the waters of Montenegro. The currency here is Euros.

Immigration, visas and customs in Montenegro

As Montenegro is an EU-candidate state, people travelling from the EU, Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Canada don’t need a visa and are able to stay for up to 90 days. Those visitors from the United Arab Emirates and South Africa do need visas.

Departure and taxes in Montenegro

There’s a departure tax of 15 Euros on international flights. VAT is 17% with reduced rates of 7% on some drinks, hotel services and food.

One of the most beautiful bays around is the Boka Kotorska bay, surrounded by high cliffs that mirror in the deep blue water of the Adriatic Sea.
