A General Description of Motor Yacht ALTAIR III
This motor yacht ALTAIR III is a 59 metre 193 (ft) substantial steel vessel which was created at Amels Yachts (Of The Damen Shipyard Group) and concieved by Dutch Navy and Amels and Bannenberg Designs Ltd. A large converted private yacht ALTAIR III is a very well designed Dutch built yacht which was launched to praise in 1974. Accommodating 12 passengers and 20 qualified crew, motor yacht ALTAIR III was formerly Cargill; Altair. She could be described as a older converted private yacht. This graceful boat was designed from the naval architecture of Dutch Navy and Amels and Bannenberg Designs Ltd. Bannenberg Designs Ltd / Sam Sorgiovanni undertook the interior design.
ALTAIR III was originally built as a pilot vessel and in 1996 she was transformed into a luxury superyacht, by the Australian shipyard Oceanfast. She had another major refit in 2003 at Arredamenti Porto where her bridge deck was lengthened.
The Construction & Naval Architecture with respect to Luxury Yacht ALTAIR III
Dutch Navy was the naval architect involved in the formal superyacht composition for ALTAIR III. Her interior design was conceived by Bannenberg Designs Ltd / Sam Sorgiovanni. Dutch Navy and Amels and Bannenberg Designs Ltd is also associated with the yacht general design work for this boat. the Netherlands is the country that Amels Yachts (Of The Damen Shipyard Group) completed their new build motor yacht in. After the official launch in 1974 in Makkum she was thereafter released to the happy owner following sea trials. A fairly large feeling is brought about with a maximum beam (width) of 10.7 metres / 35.1 feet. With a 3.95m (12.95ft) draught (maximum depth) she is reasonably deep. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure above deck is created with the use of steel. In 2004 further refit work and modernisation was also finished.

Fitted with three PAXMAN diesel-electric main engines, ALTAIR III is able to attain a maximum speed of 13 knots. Connected to her Paxman engine(s) are a single screw propeller. She also has an economical range of 10000 miles whilst sailing at her cruise speed of 12 knots. Her total HP is 1875 HP and her total Kilowatts are 1398. As for thrusters she was built with Lips. With respect to the ship’s stabalisers she uses Flume Tank.

Further Information On The Yacht
During October 2009 ALTAIR III traveled to Palmi, in Italy. This motor yacht also traveled the waters near Provincia di Reggio di Calabria during October 2009. She comes with a heli pad which can be used for owner crossing between the yacht and a remote destination. Carrier is the the company which manufactured the A/C employed on the yacht. This motor yacht has a teak deck.
