The IAG 127 motor yacht Primadonna is a 40 m tri-deck motor yacht able to accommodate twelve guests while still boasting large salons and recreational spaces, quite incredible for a yacht of this size. Thanks to the clever design concept of the superyacht developed by IAG Yachts, the IAG127’ is flexible enough to allow easy customization to an individual owner’s requirements for their private use.

To ensure the highest possible standards of construction, all the materials and equipment on-board M/Y Primadonna have been selected from well-known manufacturers, and all the employees involved were chosen for their excellent skills and craftsmanship. Based on the highest safety and quality standards, the yacht’s design, materials, equipment and construction processes were surveyed and checked by RINA, for achieving the highest-class notation.

The  IAG127 motor yacht PRIMADONNA is equipped with two Caterpillar C32 Acert main engines, each rated at 1800 bhp. Based on a tank test at half load, the yacht can achieve a top speed of 17 knots at maximum engine output, with a cruising speed of 14 knots. At an economical speed of 10 knots, the IAG127’ yacht Primadonna can deliver a range of 3,000 nautical miles. Electrical power is supplied by two 90kw Northern Lights generators fitted to provide parallel operation. The 50 KVA SEA Electronics shore power converter also provide a parallel function with the generators for power transfer capability.

Special attention has been paid to noise and vibration reduction during the design, construction and outfitting of the IAG 127 Primadonna. The materials and technical solutions adopted are such that they confer the greatest comfort to guests on board and in addition, CMC Marine stabilizers with zero speed function have been installed.

In keeping with modern ideas, the style and the interiors are designed by the Italian company YD&AS using a linear and sophisticate scheme, light being the guideline. Ample windows and clear colours enhance the feeling of wide spaces on all decks.

Boarding motor yacht Primadonna from the stern, there is a large swim platform behind which is a big garage accessed by a hydraulic door. A wide passerelle allows access the main deck and the salon and dining area through a large crystal aft door.

About IAG YACHTS

IAG YACHTS was founded in 2005 by Michael and Bernard Chang. From the beginning, the goal was to create a modern shipyard that would build world-class luxury yachts, with the huge advantage of being located in China. The geographical position in Zhuhai, Southern China, close to Hong Kong and Macau, facilitates the import of equipment and technology from Europe and the USA, being easily accessible from everywhere on the Mainland or abroad.

The IAG Yachts shipyard is about 67,000 m2 in area, including a 6800 m2 fiberglass production shed, 7,100 m2 outfitting workshop and 7,600 m2 ancillary workshop, plus office buildings. A third construction shed is almost completed, to enable the construction of even bigger yachts in steel and aluminum.

The building is conceived and organized in a series of well-planned steps that include a major input from the owner in order to personalize the design. The fiberglass production is concentrated in a dedicated temperature and humidity controlled shed, while the interiors and furniture are fully prepared and assembled ashore. Complete mock-ups of all the decks are prepared in the wood workshop, in order to guarantee the level of quality and to maintain the strict schedules.

The company has gathered together the most experienced and skilled engineers, designers and craftsman, both locally and internationally, to form a team that can manage the total project from the initial conceptual stage through to the final delivery of the yacht to the client.

The IAG100’ motor yacht

Even as the construction of the fourth hull of the successful IAG127’ superyacht series is commencing, IAG Yachts is going on with its new model – the IAG100’ motor yacht

The IAG100’ motor yacht is the result of close cooperation between the shipyard’s technical office and the Italian companies YD&AS and REDS, well known and respected in the yacht design world. YD&AS, who previously designed the IAG127’ series, developed the design of this two-deck yacht with raised wheelhouse, and maintained a classic style in a modern context. REDS took care of the engineering, with great attention to performance and safety. The IAG100’, as with all the yachts produced by IAG Yachts, is constructed to the highest RINA class and is fully compliant with MCA rules for charter.

The vessel, 30 m LOA and with a beam of 6.5 m, accommodates eight passengers plus four crew on two decks sailing in full safety at a maximum speed of 30 kn, thanks to the two Caterpillar C32 Acert main engines. As with the IAG127’, all the materials and equipment installed on-board are from well known-brands, granting reliability and safety.

Inside, the huge salon benefits from panoramic windows and a superb sound-video system, and with the stylish the dining area in a separate room, enjoyment is assured. The outdoor of the IAG100’ superyacht is not less inviting, with the comfortable sun-deck, the sun pads in the fore-deck and the main deck-aft salon.

Definitively, motor yacht IAG100’ is built for yacht owners who appreciate true quality and the best things in life.

Rivera motor yacht 43 Open Flybridge, Riviera 5000 and 5800 sport yachts to be launched at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 2010

August 24, 2010

Australia’s well known pleasure boat builder Riviera is eagerly awaiting the 51st annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The company will launch their new motor yacht 43 Open Fly Bridge and sport yachts 5000 and 5800. They are all expected to receive great response from the US market.

The Riviera 5000 Sport Yacht features a striking European design

Riviera Yachts USA Inc director Chris McCafferty said the motor yachts 5000, 5800 and 43 Open Flybridge yacht had received exceptional results in other markets, with the 43 selling 16 boats since it was released in late May proving the popularity of this new flybridge design.

Sport Yacht Riviera 5000 with Zeaus drive has superior performance

People are travelling across the globe to view the 5800 Sport Yacht at the Fort Lauderdale show and with 14 retail sales achieved since it was released in 2009, it is expected to impress the crowds.

“Riviera is really looking forward to the show and is extremely optimistic of strong results given the universal acceptance of these new models since their launch,” said Chris.

The Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht has impressed boat owners across the globe

“The combination of these exciting new world class models and new additions to our dealer network will put Riviera in very good stead in the US as the boating market continues to recover.”

Riviera CEO John Anderson said the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show would make a convincing statement to the US market following the challenges faced by the marine industry in the midst of the global financial crisis last year.

The Riviera motor yacht 43's open flybridge gives 360 vision

It has been a challenging 12 months for the whole boating industry.  And Riviera has embraced change and faced the challenge head on, releasing new models all bearing Riviera’s hallmark styling and impeccable multi-award winning build quality.

“To have sold 40 new boats over the past eight weeks between the Sanctuary Cove and Sydney shows is a tremendous result for the Riviera brand, our loyal owners and our dedicated staff and dealers,” Mr Anderson said.

The 43 Open Flybridge's luxurious saloon opens out to an oversized cockpit

“In June 2010, the company announced it had officially exited Administration, so our focus is clearly directed to rebuilding the business and making it even stronger.

“We have 400 people on site right now building boats and we are actively recruiting new staff.  Our global sales for the first half of 2010 have increased by 17 per cent, resulting in an average sales run-rate of two-and-a-half new boats per week since the 2009 Fort Lauderdale Show.

The new Riviera yacht 43 Open Flybridge is a real head turner

“Riviera has introduced a new production line and commenced a recruitment drive for new staff to assist with the ramp up of production to meet the growth in new boat sales.

“In the US Riviera is extremely well known for our range of Flybridge boats but this year Fort Lauderdale will pave the way for us to be equally well known for our innovative Sport Yacht range, which is expanding Riviera’s appeal because of the allure of this design to the cruising market.”

The single level living and functional galley is a feature of the 5800 Sport Yacht

Riviera offers 20 different models from 36 to 85 feet across four model series Flybridge, Sport Yacht, Offshore Express and Motor Yachts.

With superyacht Mazu, the 46-meter sister ship to Marco Polo nearing completion and on schedule for an end of the year launch, MCC – Maritime Concept and Construction (Hong Kong) Ltd is now turning its focus on its new superyacht MCC 38m Transocean Explorer.  Conceived by in-house naval architect Kasia Milewska, this novel design expands upon the signature MCC theme of fuel efficiency. Taking its cue from the revolutionary Marco Polo series, this vessel will have the most economic single screw propulsion with electrically driven Schottel pump jets on the market. Additionally, in keeping with the growing trend for greener energy, the MCC 38 yacht will forgo teak decks employing instead environmentally sound sustainable wood. Furthermore, the cap rails on the bulwarks will be composite rather than teak. The interior décor while infinitely flexible can be fitted with eco-friendly materials and textiles, such as bamboo, mango wood and recycled glass. Designer Milewska feels the inside should reflect the outside in terms of spirit and has sourced a number of interesting options for flooring, wall covering, tiles, countertops, fixtures, and fabrics.

The MCC 38 motoryacht, built of sturdy steel with a composite superstructure, offers a lot more volume than similar sized yachts. Despite her modest length over all, the 38-meter boasts generous accommodations for eight guests plus captain and seven crew members. While the master and VIP staterooms are practically equal in terms of luxury, at this stage, the owner of the new super yacht MCC 38m explorer can opt to have the master suite on the upper deck and the VIP and captains cabin on the main deck, or have both suites on the main deck. The other guest and crew cabins and galley are planned to be on the lower deck. Remarkably for her size, there is an elevator accessing all deck levels from lower deck to the sundeck.

This compact mini superyacht model will be on hand at the stand at the 2010 Monaco Yacht Show. The time is right and the price is right. Stop by to meet the MCC team and check out the new 38m Transocean Explorer.

MCC will also for the first time at the Monaco Yacht Show present their new project, the superyacht MCC 48m Transocean Explorer.

Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show® goes Green.

August 20, 2010

Show Management, the company that produces and manages the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show®, the Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach, the Palm Beach International Boat Show and the St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show®, will offset 100 percent of the greenhouse gas emissions from its electricity and fuel usage at the 2010 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show®, the largest in-water boat show in the world. These carbon offsets will prevent more than 264 tons of global carbon dioxide pollution. With this offset purchase, Show Management helped build the new Greensburg Wind Farm in Greensburg, Kan., by providing essential funding for this new renewable energy project.

Carbon Offsets for Greensburg Wind Farm

A carbon offset is a financial instrument aimed at a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. Carbon offsets are measured in metric tons of carbon dioxide-equivalent (CO2e) and may represent six primary categories of greenhouse gases. One carbon offset represents the reduction of one metric ton of carbon dioxide or its equivalent in other greenhouse gases. Show Management will purchase carbon offsets to mitigate its own greenhouse gas emissions from transportation, electricity use, and other sources at the show.

Show Management is proud to be associated with Greensburg Wind Farm’s inspiring example. On May 4, 2007, a massive tornado leveled the town, destroying 95 percent of the homes and leaving a path of devastation two miles wide. In the aftermath, the residents committed to rebuilding as “the greenest town in America.” The Greensburg Wind Farm was developed in reliance on critical upfront financing from NativeEnergy, whose funding is made possible by the collective, community support of its clients and partners, including the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show®.

The SMG-managed Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center, one of the Boat Show’s five locations, is on track to becoming certified by the U.S. Green Building Council in Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) for operations and management of an existing building.

With a commitment of up to $3 million from SMG to complete the conversion of the 600,000-square-foot Center into a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient and environmentally sound, carbon neutral building, and enthusiastic support from the Broward County Board of County Commissioners and Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Convention Center’s goal is to complete the comprehensive LEED certification process by the fourth quarter of 2011. 2010 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show® Press Release Page 2 of 3 (MORE)

The Convention Center’s focus on reducing its carbon footprint and providing maximum comfort and efficiency with optimum use of resources officially began in 2008 with the formation of its “Green Team,” which worked with Sustainable Options, LLC, Green Building Consultants, to register the Center with the U.S. Green Building Council.

The Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center’s daily operations now include numerous eco-friendly preferences, from water usage to lighting and other key applications. Inside, the Center has installed low-flow toilets, faucets and dishwashers. Outside, a revamped landscape design will reduce irrigation needs by using verdant plants and trees indigenous to South Florida and less water-dependent turf grass, all of which will be irrigated by an efficient micro-drip system that uses 30 percent less water than a conventional sprinkler system.

Energy conservation for LEED Certification includes supporting renewable energy by purchasing Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) for off-site renewable wind energy systems. The Convention Center’s most recent green power purchase will help keep 20,722,187 pounds of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere, which can be equated to planting 85,276 fully grown trees. The Center also has installed an automated system for temperature and lighting control, and annually recycles an estimated 150 tons of brochures, wood pallets, cardboard, carpet and padding, clear sheet plastic, plastic table cloths, lamps and bulbs, shrink wrap, twine, landscaping debris and batteries, as well as plastic bottles, glass and cans.

“The marine industry is all about appreciating and conserving the beauty and wonder of our waterways,” said Dane Graziano, senior vice president and COO of Show Management. “Supporting eco-friendly initiatives and sustainability of the earth’s natural resources is a logical priority for the Boat Show and the hundreds of industry vendors who participate each year.”

The World’s Largest Boat Show

The City of Fort Lauderdale lives up to its nickname as “Yachting Capital of the World” as host to the more than 3 million square feet of space, both on land and in water, that the Boat Show will encompass. The show’s transportation network of bus shuttles, water taxis, and riverboats ensures attendees can easily navigate the city and its expansive waterways system.

Hundreds of thousands of boating enthusiasts and marine industry professionals worldwide will come together October 28 through November 1, 2010 in Fort Lauderdale for the 51st annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show®, the largest in-water boat show in the world. The show will feature more than $3 billion worth of boats, yachts, super yachts, electronics, engines and thousands of boating accessories from every major marine manufacturer and boat builder across the globe.

The show spans five sites this year with exhibits ranging from yacht builders and designers to exotic cars and brokerage yachts. A wide variety of boats and sea vessels will be on display including runabouts, sportfishers, high performance boats, center consoles, cabin cruisers, express cruisers, sailing yachts, motor yachts, bowriders, catamarans, ski boats, jet boats, trawlers, inflatables, canoes, and extraordinary superyachts.
