New 38m expedition yacht BATAI delivered by Inace Yachts

The Brazilian shipyard, Inace Yachts, has successfully handed over its all-new 38m expedition yacht Batai (hull 591) to her new Mexican owners. A sistership to the 2012 luxury yacht Far Far Away, motor yacht Batai represents the second vessel from the successful series, designed by Luiz de Basto.

Luxury yacht Batai can comfortably sleep up to 12 guests in 5 lovely cabins, all situated on the lower deck. There is a full-beam master suite amidship, two double cabis as well as two twin cabins with Pullmans.

Sea Alliance, management of the 27m Jongert luxury yacht Vivid shipped the yacht into Recife with Sevenstar. Vivid then sailed down to enjoy Rio before heading north again to Fernando da Noronha for an extensive diving experience; serviced all the way by BYS.

Azimut Grande 100 Yacht to make her debut at Rio Boat Show 2013

The Azimut|Benetti Group will be present at this year’s Rio Boat Show, showcasing the Azimut Grande 100 yacht as the biggest boat ever attending the Boat Show in its history. The main deck of luxury yacht Azimut Grande 100 opens out at the stern through large windows onto the cockpit, passes through the social area, which is composed of two counter posed sofas and a chaise lounge, and continues toward the bow through the dining zone, where a table of stainless steel and glass, positioned at the centre, can accommodate up to ten people. Another space in the bow area, is available for satisfying the yacht owner’s personal requests: media room, fitness area, studio, private saloon, etc.

In the five-cabin version, the Owner’s suite is on the main deck and spans two levels, with access from an interior corridor and the four cabins located on the lower deck (two VIP cabins with double beds and two twin beds) while the four-cabin version has the Owner’s cabin amidships on the lower deck, the VIP cabin with a double bed in the bow, along with two cabins with twin beds.

Azimut-Benetti Group to attend Rio Boat Show 2013 with 8 luxury yachts on display

The largest manufacturer of luxury motor boats worldwide and integrated Marine Player, the Italian Azimut-Benetti Group, with its own shipyard in Brazil, will be attending the Rio Boat Show 2013. In a sophisticated mega-stand of 500sqm, the visitors will check closely the big novelties that bring excellence, typically Italian design and the signatures: Azimut Yachts, Atlantis, Azimut Grande as well as Benetti. Amongst the novelties, the biggest presence of the event will represent the Azimut Grande 100 yacht.

Motor yacht Azimut Grande 100 is a boat of 31 meters which, in addition of its amplitude, dynamism, comfort, performance and sophistication in every detail. Besides this, two other boats will constitute among the largest of the event: the Azimut 88 and the Azimut 82, Flybridge Collection of the renowned Azimut Yachts.

All models produced at the Brazilian shipyard of the Group will be also displayed: Azimut 43, Azimut 48, Azimut 60 and Azimut 70 (example is charter yacht Seas The Moment) (next to local production). For the sportive line lovers, the Atlantis 58 will charm by its versatility and grandeur.

The event will have the presences of the top management of the Group: Paolo Casani (CEO of Azimut Yachts and Atlantis), Marco Valle (Sales Director of Azimut Yachts and Atlantis), Francesco Ansalone (Marketing Director of Azimut-Benetti Group), Vincenzo Poerio (CEO of Benetti), Fabrizio Scerch (Sales Manager of Benetti) and Davide Breviglieri (CEO of Azimut Brazil).

David Breviglieri, CEO of Azimut Brasil – production site installed in 2010 in the city of Itajai, SC – tells about the expansion plans of the shipyard. “Currently the factory in Brazil has 25,000 square meters, a warehouse being unique to the lamination and production areas and another that focuses headquarters. When the project is completed, the new plant will occupy a total area of over 45,000 square meters, of which 50% will be covered. Currently there are 300 employees who work in the construction of yachts with the same standard of excellence of those produced in Italy, beyond the services, the dealer’s network, and after sales” he explains.

At the Rio Boat Show Azimut-Benetti Group will present its differentials also in services. “We structured our Dealer’s Network that today is able to support its customers throughout the brazilian coast, from purchasing, technical support and after-sales. In terms of relationship, we have developed a series of strategies to approach with our clientele, to exchange ideas and to absorb their main expectation”, adds Breviglieri citing the “Confrarias Náuticas”, events already held in Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Paraná and Bahia and that have become big success in the nautical market.

The Rio Boat Show 2013 will be held between April 25th and May 1st at the Mauá Pier, Rio de Janeiro, and is considered one of the biggest nautical events of the Americas.

Set to take place from April 25 to May 1, this year’s Rio de Janeiro International Boat Show will feature the first USA Pavilion, to be hosted by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). With 16 American companies having confirmed their presence, the space within the inaugural USA Pavilion has been completely booked.

The first NMMA/USA Pavilion will be hosting boat and yacht builders, marine equipment manufacturers, distributors of boating products and supplies, boat trailers and lifts, boat certification support and fishing equipment – all NMMA members.

Brazil is an important trading partner for the U.S. recreational boating industry and, despite an increase in import duties and challenging conditions, Brazil is the USA’s fifth largest export market.

To help U.S. businesses find new customers in this growing marine market, NMMA is taking the lead on hosting the first USA Pavilion at the Rio de Janeiro International Boat Show 2013.

In order to provide a full support to its customers in the national territory, the Azimut shipyard in Brazil – a subsidiary of the renowned Italian Azimut-Benetti Group – provides Azimut Dealer Network in several Brazilian states aligned with specialized services and support direct from the factory.

With this new strategy, the Azimut Brazil becomes the first nautical company in the country of international origin with the wider and more varied range of services, including specialized technical assistance, replenishment of parts and maintenance, after sales – and consultancy on all stages of buying: from financial and administrative activities to the selection and training of the crew.

“In 2010 the Azimut-Benetti Group has established a broad structure in the country in order to get closer to its customers and assist them in all their needs. A sistership to the 2012 luxury yacht Far Far Away, Batai yacht is a breathtaking explorer, designed by Luiz de Basto. She is set to be delivered to her Mexican owners for the upcoming season, following her sea trials that will start soon.

With the goal of presenting news from the luxury yacht builder Azimut Yachts and to bring closer the customers to the brand, representatives of the Azimut-Benetti Group and its shipyard in Brazil hosted the second edition of the event “Confraria Náutica” at Yacht Club Veleiros da Ilha, positioned in the capital of Santa Catarina state. Held on Thursday, February 28, the event was attended by about 90 selected guests from the region.

“The Confraria Náutica, by Azimut Yachts is focused on approach with our clients and the public who loves the sea. We want to present in more detail the Group’s strength in the world and know the needs of our customers to be able to offer to Brazilians increasingly full support,” said the CEO of Azimut Brazil Davide Breviglieri.

Representing the Group were, in addition to the CEO in Brazil, the sales manager for South America David Bisogni; the sales manager Francesco Caputo and the Group Sales Director Marco Valle – for the brands Azimut Yachts and Atlantis. As the official dealer of the brands to the south of the country and the state of São Paulo, First Yacht, was represented by the President Natanael Santos de Souza, the CEO Nelson Waisbich, the Commercial Manager for the South Marcelo Menezes and his team of marketing and sales.

On the island of Florianópolis, in an elegant lounge mounted on the deck by the sea and overlooking the famous Hercílio Luz Bridge, five vessels were exposed and open for visitation: Azimut 43, Azimut 60, two Azimut 62S, and the big star of the evening: the Azimut 70 (example is charter yacht Seas the Moment), an innovative model that began to be manufactured in the Brazilian shipyard this year. The night followed by a pleasant cocktail, chat and video presentation of the new collection.

“The success of Rio de Janeiro was repeated in Florianópolis. We have a great public prestige our events and, mainly, we know the real needs of our customers, which is our principal goal, ” said Breviglieri.

The first event “Confraria Náutica by Azimut Yachts” was promoted in February in Rio de Janeiro to customers in the region. The next one has already date and place: will happen in the next Wednesday, March 6, in Salvador, Bahia, with the presence of the Official Dealer for Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and the Northeast, the Yacht Collection.

Due to be launched and to start her sea trials mid December, the 126′ superyacht Batai is a magnificent explorer, designed by well known Luiz de Basto. Her delivery to the new Mexican owners is scheduled for early 2013.

Spliethoff’s MV Diamantgracht is presently at sea with a 90 ft Jongert, loaded in Antwerp, on board. The yacht will be discharged in Suape, Brazil.

MV Industrial Dart was loaded in Palm Beach and has seven yachts on board, including a 100 ft Azimut and another 100 ft yacht; a Horizon. The vessel is on it’s way to Itajai, Brazil, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, where three, respectively 4 yachts will be discharged.
