The Northern California-based Innespace Productions, an innovative design and fabrication company, custom builds high performance submersible watercraft, known as Seabreachers. The company has been selling these amazing superyacht water toys for the past 5 years, and now provides three distinct models.

The first version, the dolphin style Seabreacher J, comes standard with a single seat and 215hp supercharged engine. The most popular model, the Seabreacher X, is a super high performance version that has a more aggressive shark style appearance, and comes standard with two race style seats and a 260hp supercharged engine. Innespace also added the Seabreacher Y, which has the same high output capabilities and options of the X model while offering a more realistic killer whale appearance including pectoral fins, a large whale tail, and a fully functioning blowhole.

The Seabreacher can sustain high speed dives just beneath the surface, and then breach skyward launching the entire vessel clear out of the water up to 18ft, all while being fully enclosed in the watertight cockpit. The supercharged marine engines allow the Seabreacher to reach speeds in excess of 55mph on the surface, and 25mph underwater. The Seabreachers are powered by conventional personal watercraft engines, allowing them to be easily serviced at any PWC dealership. The fully vectored thrust system mimics the tail articulation of real aquatic animals like sharks and dolphins, which allows for porpoising and radical freestyle maneuvers.

Each watercraft is fully customized to the customer’s desired specifications, from paint schemes to the interior upholstery. Some high tech features that are incorporated into the vessels include:  a snorkel mounted camera transmitting live video to LCD screens for the pilot and passenger during dives, GPS navigation, and on board stereo with iPod docking.

Set to run from April 18 to 21, the 40th anniversary Newport Boat Show will feature the all-new high-speed superyacht toy HeliCat 22. Fast even in waves while saving fuel, the new HeliCat 22 is a high performance two-person catamaran, providing stable and eye-popping fun. The first HeliCat 22 catamarans should be available in June/July 2013.

The amazing superyacht toy HeliCat 22 is great for stable & safe, fun, fast, economical and practical water travel, island transport, fishing far away, or day charter/rental. HeliCat 22 goes 20-30 mph in whitecap waves at 5 mpg – not possible in other boats.

The new design makes this cool-looking, lightweight, stable and agile catamaran safe in rough seas, and a lot of fun with good fuel economy and low maintenance. She corners flat like a rocket on a rail. She is virtually unsinkable due to a combination of positive foam flotation and separate watertight compartments.

At speeds from 20-40, she burns only 4-10 gph, getting 5 to 3.5 miles per gallon, which is unusually good for a boat that can handle rough water. Combined with her stability, it makes commuting on the water reasonably economical.

She has been tested in whitecap waves under the Tacoma Narrows bridge and found to be very stable and relatively smooth at 30 mph. Prototype boat’s top speed about 40 mph with twin 60hp Mercury four stroke EFI motors. Initial testing with twin Yamaha 70 hp indicates 50 mph top speed of US models. US produced version coming in June-July will be at least 400 lbs lighter and hence faster.

The HeliCat 22 can be ordered with EFI 60 or 70-hp motors of client’s choice or sold alone for client to fit his own motors. A custom aluminum trailer with LED lights and disc brakes is available. She can be towed by a mid-sized car or small SUV, because she will be under 2,900# on the trailer full of fuel and gear, ready to go anywhere.

The Yacht Manufacturing Workshop Lease Agreement has been signed between Dubai Maritime City (DMC), a world class facility offering maritime services, and Vitmar Yachts, a custom made luxury motor yacht builder, for property within the DMC’s Marine District. The Agreement was signed by Kham is Jum a Buam im, Chairman of Drydocks World and Sheik Tariq Al Khalifa, President of Vitmar.

“We are delighted to have reached this agreement with Vitmar as this would provide an impetus to our focus on catapulting the region on to the global yacht building map. The region can be a cost effective alternative to the European locations as we have the skill and the technical capability to build super-yachts, which can compete with the best in the world, ” said Mr Buam im.

Vitmar Yachts is a new brand founded by Sheikh Tariq Al Kahlifa, President and Antonio Amatuzzo, CEO with the cooperation of well known Italian designers and craft makers, and the yachts will be assembled at their workshop in Dubai Maritime City. Vitmar Yachts will produce yachts ranging from 35 to 72 meters in length.

Superyacht Tenders and Toys has teamed up with FreeStyle Cruiser to present a new 41ft (12.6m) custom Cruiser S shaped yacht slide. This self-lifting slide provides a unique experience that’s never been seen or done before.

This slide is one of TWO identical slides that will go onto a significant 70+m superyacht, going off either side of the helideck. The slides were completely custom built to the owner’s requirements and unique shape. Usual Cruiser features include ultra strong and lightweight Airstairs, ergonomic handles, a cover sheet with an ultra slick surface and more. The slides are constructed with a 28oz. Firmatex and 100% hot air welded. Each slide comes with a 3- year warranty and is designed with the captain and crew in mind for convenience.

Slide design has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years with lighter and stronger materials. Gone are the days when a yacht can be without a yacht slide.”
