M/Y PROJECT MASTER was first unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show 2021 as a 66m/217ft Offshore Rescue and Support Vessel to be converted and extended into a family-friendly luxury expedition yacht with a global cruising range and charter potential.

Espen Øino International has designed the interior and exterior appearance to incorporate the client’s wishes and requirements. By re-purposing an existing vessel, much of the construction time has been reduced while conserving resources. According to ICON Yachts, ‘close to 80% of the original vessel will be re-used or upcycled’, and even the removed elements will return to the marine industry as spares in accordance with ICON Yacht’s ISO 14001 certification.

Described as a ‘state-of-the-art explorer’, PROJECT MASTER will have an abundance of space to store a submarine, exploration gear, numerous tenders and a massive selection of water toys. Notable features include a fully certified helideck, a Jacuzzi, spa, sauna and gym.

Diesel Electric Hybrid Voith Propellers will give a top speed of 14 knots and provide near-silent cruising and a range of 6,000 nautical miles at 7 knots.

ICON Yachts will soon welcome another 70m/230ft conversion project to its dry dock: PROJECT UFO. Despite being the same size, both vessels will be fully custom to their Owners’ requirements, creating a unique and personalised environment on board.
