The Dutch shipyard, Storm Yachts, has released two videos showing the transport of its first Storm S-78 yacht hull on the Amer river in the Netherlands. Based on the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) developed by Van Oossanen, the hull of motor yacht Storm S-78 has been successfully transported from the construction-hall to the quayside, and into the water.

Designed by Omega Architects, the all-aluminium Storm S-78 yacht is a fast A-class vessel, with a top speed of about 24 knots and a cruising speed of about 16 knots, achieved thanks to the ZF PODs as well as Caterpillar engines. She represents the very highest standards of Dutch design, engineering and construction in every respect.
