Cannes Yachting Festival represents Europe’s leading in-water boat show and the first international show on the boat show calendar. This year’s event is set to run in the popular Mediterranean yacht charter destination – Cannes from September 9 to 14. The 2014 Festival will showcase over 500 boats with 100 world premieres and 95% of the boats will be in water and available for sea trial.

Top Ten ‘must-see’ yachts at the 2014 Cannes Yachting Festival:

1.          Benetti Ocean Paradise

Benetti motor yacht Ocean Paradise will be the largest yacht to debut at Cannes Yachting Festival 2014. The new 55 meter vessel is rich with innovative contents, especially in regards to portioning, interior design, décor and fitting out. Features include:

•             Built from aluminium and steel

•             Benetti allows this boat to be customised to the owners requests

•             Unique design features such as the combination of both transparent and opaque materials that emphasise the traditional relationship with the sea

•             Four guest cabins, all located on the lower deck, with access from a central hall, each has its own spacious bath and view of the sea with the master suite stretching the full width of the yacht

•             Hidden garage, complete with a mooring platform for jet-skis or a custom made 6.2 m tender

2.            Otam 58ht

OTAM launches the brand new 58HT “Crazy Too” superyacht chase boat, the 25th evolution of the successful OTAM Millennium 58 Hardtop series. Features include:

3.            Riva Mythos 122

Riva Mythos 122 superyacht Sol, the all-new flagship of the Ferretti Group brand, marks a turning point in Riva’s heralded history.

•             At 37.5m, this new yacht is the largest built in the 172 year history of this prestigious Italian brand

•             It is the first from the Ancona based shipyard to be constructed entirely from lightweight  aluminium

•             The materials used inside include Canaletto walnut and leather and chromium-plated steel, in line with Riva’s traditional style of essential, clean and elegant lines

•             The standard version proposed by the shipyard has three or four cabins, and an additional optional layout with five cabins is also available. The aluminum planning hull can reach top recorded speed of 28.5 and a cruising speed of 26 knots, thanks to two MTU 12 V 4000 M 93L, 3510 mhp engines

4.            Shipman 59 by Seaway Yachts

The 19.8m Shipman 59 will make its World Premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival this September, and offers a range of new features as well as the traditional values of a Shipman Carbon Yacht:

The exciting new 46.3m displacement yacht Hull 10217 follows the trend for Nordic styling that has been established through collaborations between Baglietto and Francesco Paszkowski.

•             The stern features a large “beach club,” with space for a dinghy, rescue boat and jet-ski
