In an agreement valid through 2015, Seakeeper has been selected as Brunswick Boat Group‘s preferred supplier for stabilization systems. Seakeeper’s actively controlled gyros will be provided as options, with projects currently running on the Hatteras 77 yacht, as well as several new Sea Ray and Meridian Sport Yacht, Yacht and Sedan Bridge models in development.

In making this commitment to Seakeeper, Brunswick Boat Group can now offer enhanced comfort and safety to its boat customers. After participating in a sea trial on a Seakeeper gyro-stabilized craft, Brunswick Boat Group team members saw the advantages this technology could deliver.

“Seakeeper sizes its gyro installations to reduce resonant boat roll by 60-80%, enabling owners to enjoy significantly more days on the water. With the combination of Brunswick Boat Group’s state-of-the art vessels and our technologically advanced gyro stabilization systems, their customers will be among the happiest and most comfortable on the water,” said John Kermet, Seakeeper COO.

“We see this as a great path forward for our brands, as it enables us to offer a new value proposition to customers that enhances the enjoyment of their boats,” said Larry Krestan, VP of Sales for Sport Yachts and Yachts. “Seakeeper produces a superior product line, which fits well with our mission of delivering the latest technology to elevate the boating experience.”

“Brunswick Boat Group is the pinnacle of US boatbuilders, in terms of size and volume production. We’re honored to be selected by a market leader and are excited about the worldwide opportunities it presents.  While our initial projects are with their recreational brands, we can see the benefits of gyro stabilization translating to Brunswick’s commercial and military craft,” said Kermet.

Headquartered in Lake Forest, Illinois, USA, Brunswick Corporation endeavors to instill “Genuine Ingenuity”™ in all its leading consumer brands. The company’s boat brands include Bayliner, Boston Whaler, Brunswick Commercial and Government Products, Cabo Yachts, Crestliner, Cypress Cay, Harris FloteBote, Hatteras, Lowe, Lund, Meridian, Princecraft, Quicksilver, Rayglass, Sea Ray, Trophy, Uttern and Valiant.

Seakeeper leads the worldwide market in actively controlled gyro stabilization systems, with installations on more than 1,000 vessels.  Its various models for recreational, commercial and military applications significantly reduce resonant boat roll whether a craft is underway, or at slow speed or zero speed.
