The Managing Director of Oceania Marine, Martin Gleeson, commented on the recent results of the refit: “I congratulate everyone involved on putting this project together then executing it to achieve what has to be an excellent outcome for the owner. I spoke to skipper Mikael Andersson and he said we have a great team and have done a great job. Like almost any refit, unexpected works emerged but the team adapted and kept things on track”.

Working closely with the crew of BE MINE as well as the owner’s representatives, Diverse Projects, the team at Ocean Marine kept to a tight schedule of 12 weeks to complete the refit, which involved a survey of all her electrical and engineering equipment as well as her fabrication, plus a repaint of her hull and other touch-up areas. The work was completed by Oceania Marine Engineering Services and Oceannia Marine Coatings respectively.
