The FDHF is a development aimed at providing superior performance over the entire speed range compared to traditional hull forms. The fact that superyacht Galactica Star exceeded her contractual speed by 2 knots, in much less than ideal conditions (shallow water, Beaufort 4 to 6), presented a very smooth ride and a very maneouvrable yacht, made Van Oossanen’s innovation become reality. Motor Yacht Galactica Star is the ultimate proof of the high performance of the Fast Displacement Hull Form.

With currently 6 FDHF yachts under construction, between lengths of 16 and 60 meters, it is evident that the market recognizes the full potential of the FDHF.
