A new range of Yacht Support Vessels (YSV) was proudly unveiled by the French shipyard PIRIOU, builder of the mighty 77m explorer yacht YERSIN, at the Monaco Yacht Show 2015. Drawing on the experience of building more than 130 crew boats for the offshore oil industry, PIRIOU has developed an innovative range of fast and versatile transatlantic Yacht Support Vessels with sea proven hulls, destined for those who wish to sail great distances in complete freedom, comfort and security, or simply benefit from logistical support when cruising.

PIRIOU YSV 40
PIRIOU YSV 40 yacht support vessel is a rapid, ocean-going vessel, capable of carrying technical and leisure equipment for its mother yacht. Based on the shipyard’s Fast Passenger and Supply Vessel FPSV 40, the vessel’s steel hull is suitable for all sea and weather conditions.

The internal layout of PIRIOU YSV 40 luxury yacht support vessel can include a double suite with standards matching the mother yacht’s ones for a couple of additional guests. There is also a vast 170 m² deck, ideal for holding social events.

PIRIOU YSV 53 superyacht support vessel is based on the proven design of the FPSV 53 (Fast Passenger and Supply Vessel). Thanks to its steel hull and 125,000-litre fuel capacity, the vessel is the perfect escort for large yachts that undertake long-distance and long-duration voyages. It has an ocean-going range of 4,500 nautical miles at a steady 17 knots.

Internally, the layout of PIRIOU YSV 53 yacht support vessel can be customized to comprise for example two double suites with comfort equal to that of the mother yacht. With a 300 m² of external deck space, the YSV 53 can easily host a helicopter weighing 3,000 kg, as well as other leisure equipment, land vehicles or tenders.
