Lantic Entertainment Systems, the only designer and manufacturer of integrated AV/IT platforms dedicated to the superyacht sector, is thrilled to announce that it has been commissioned by the prestigious US shipyard Palmer Johnson to supply a complete audio-visual system with integrated CCTV and air-conditioning control for the all-new Palmer Johnson 170 SportYacht project. Last summer, Lantic supplied the AV system for the PJ 170 motor yacht Bliss.

Lantic will design and supply the audio-visual infrastructure, as well as the central reception, storage and control systems for a total of 21 independent zones and five slave zones aboard the new PJ 170 superyacht, usually including bathrooms or secondary deck zones. These zones comprise the internal owner and guest areas, as well as eight crew areas and the external decks. In addition, Lantic will supply the third-party peripheral equipment, comprising the monitors, speakers and amplifiers.

Systems from Lantic are also designed to interface with a wide range of other onboard amenities, resulting in a complete control of the local environment via the Lantic RC20 app on a tablet or smartphone. On board the new Palmer Johnson 170 SportYacht, the Lantic system will control the lighting, blinds and air conditioning on a zone by zone basis. It will also interface with the onboard CCTV and FLIR cameras, providing access to real-time streaming on the same screens that are used for the entertainment media as well as portable smart devices – perfect for security, monitoring children and other similar applications.

One unusual aspect of the installation is that the Lantic HDTV streaming server is being configured for both traditional Sat-TV decoders as well as IPTV decoders via internet broadband, resulting in a top-quality HD viewing when in area with 4G coverage.

With the all-new PJ 170 yacht expected to be completed soon, Lantic will have the system built, tested and commissioned in time for operation this season.
