YachtEye Portable has been designed to run seamlessly with any existing YachtEye set-up as well as provide an additional enhanced user feature. This variant also works as a stand alone solution for clients making it ideal for refits and upgrades to onboard technical system features. The interactive application on the iPad, which communicates to an onboard YachtEye rack mounted unit, provides the user with an interactive touch experience of many of the YachtEye modules available. Other modules selected are also supported to offer customised 2D images of the yacht, fleet, tenders and aircrafts. These options, combined with the informative aspects of the product and the realtime link to Google earth, make the iPad integration the ideal personal & portable “infotainment” solution.

Owner’s can opt to scale the availability of this product to any number of devices to suit their requirements, whether this is on dedicated devices or their own personal iPad. Furthermore, Guests can have the application added to their personal iPads. This enables them to have access to the onboard YachtEye data and experience during their stay enabling them to enjoy the latest in technology. As this application is locked to the boat’s wifi network, the YachtEye data remains secure and once off the boat, the application and data can no longer be accessed.

Whether YachtEye Portable is integrated as an additional user portal for the onboard integrated system or as a stand alone solution, the iPad solution represents a significant development in the YachtEye product portfolio:

“Introducing the iPad integration for YachtEye was a natural step in our continuing product and software development. We are dedicated to working with technology trends and client requirements to ensure our products offer the very best for onboard user experiences and extraordinary solutions. With this latest variant within the YachtEye product portfolio, we wanted to ensure that the solution provided worked not only as an “add-on” to all of the other features available, but also operated as a product solution in its own right. This ensures that this latest technology can be installed whatever the customer requirements. YachtEye Portable represents the ultimate in technical innovation and flexibility and we are delighted to be bringing this to market.” comments Stefan van Cleef, co-owner of Oculus Technologies b.v.

YachtEye, which is designed to be integrated in to the onboard entertainment system, shows a 3D customised animation of the superyacht in a realtime location linked to Google earth. The YachtEye package can then be further tailored to allow the Owner to choose from additional modules and provide detailed location information. Owners can select to include customised images of their tenders, aircrafts and fleet as well customise onscreen data and information. This can include their itinerary, planned and historical routes plus local information all of which is also available as an interactive solution. The option to be able to view and experience all of this remotely from the comfort of an office or home, via a secure and encrypted connection, is also available.
