Luxury motor yacht builder Gulf Craft is celebrating its successful working partnership with international air conditioning supplier Marvair, whose Managing Director, Trevor Goldsmith, has been working together with Gulf Craft for the past 20 years.

In the early stages of Goldsmith’s relationship with Gulf Craft, he was advising on the installation of air conditioning systems, troubleshooting and running the maintenance of units from companies other than Marvair, as well as establishing training and certification programs for the Gulf Craft fitters. However, over the last few years Marvair has become the sole supplier of air conditioning across the full Gulf Craft range.

The close co-operation between Trevor Goldsmith, Gulf Craft and Marvair has resulted in fit-out engineers at Gulf Craft who are ISO certificated and work to exceptionally high standards covered by high levels of quality control – a feature of all Gulf Craft work – producing installations with a long service life and appropriately extended warranties.

The collaboration between these two companies has also seen some revolutionary developments, including touch screen control for onboard air conditioning. Amazingly, the whole process of producing this unique system, from first discussion to production, was just 90 days, demonstrating Marvair’s ability to meet its customers’ deadlines and individual requirements. The touch screen controls can be seen on board the Gulf Craft boats at Dubai Boat Show 2011.

Even now, Trevor Goldsmith and his workforce make frequent visits to the Gulf Craft production lines to provide on-going training programs, careful supervision of installation work and extensive documentation, all of which help to give the onboard Marvair units a long operating life backed by a full warranty.

Marvair units appear throughout the Gulf Craft brand on the Oryx sportsboats as well as the Majesty Yachts and Superyachts range, including the current in-build projects of Majesty 125 and Majesty 135. Like Gulf Craft is able to produce boats from 20ft up to 135ft, Marvair’s equipment tailor to the whole fleet.

Speaking of the long co-operation between the two world leading companies, Erwin Bamps, Chief Operating Officer for Gulf Craft, said; “It’s been a long and highly productive relationship with both companies benefitting. We have fed each other ideas and produced excellent solutions and we look forward to working closely together for a long time to come.”

Trevor Goldsmith commented; “Over the years we have found Gulf Craft to be excellent business partners and colleagues with a long term vision. Together we have found ways to make better installations that save on costs while maintaining our similar approaches to high standards of quality. Gulf Craft has extremely high expectations and needs to be supported by a strong supply chain, which is why our two businesses are growing together so well.”

Gulf Craft Inc ranks as one of the world leading manufacturers and exporters of fiberglass leisure craft, one of a handful of boatbuilders in the world with the capability to produce yachts of more than 100 feet in overall length.

Gulf Craft is the Middle East’s and Asia’s largest and leading producer of fiberglass boats and yachts, exporting over 70% of its production to 40 countries through the Majesty Yachts, Oryx and Silvercraft brands. Founded in The United Arab Emirates in 1982, Gulf Craft today produces vessels ranging from 20 feet runabouts and sport fishing boats, to 135 feet luxury motor yachts, with an annual production capacity of about 500 boats.
