Abeking & Rasmussen luxury yacht EXCELLENCE (ex.PROJECT 6505) has left the shipyard to undertake her maiden voyage to Gibraltar following rigorous tests in the North Sea and then delivery to her Owner. EXCELLENCE will then move to the Caribbean for the winter season, where she will be available for luxury yacht charters

Launched in May, the 80m/262ft vessel will now cruise to the Monaco Yacht Show 2019, where she will make her public debut as one of the largest models on show.

Both the interior and exterior styling come from British studio Winch Design, who were tasked with creating the ‘extraordinary’ for the Owner and providing a seamless feeling of openness and connection to the outside world. The angular silhouette finishes in a sheer inverse bow and a design with futuristic and military elements.

The large glass panels and curved mirrored glass proved a challenge that paid off in creating panoramic views of the surroundings from the Owner’s decks.

“We are very proud of this extraordinary yacht and our exceptional workforce, who mastered all requirements bravely,” said Hans Schaedia, Chief Executive of the shipyard.

Elsewhere there is a swimming pool and platform, a beach club, Jacuzzi and a fleet of limousine tenders.
