73m explorer motor yacht LEGEND (ex Giant) to be converted into a luxury charter yacht by ICON Yachts

ICON Yachts have been commissioned to complete the conversion of the 73m (240’) explorer motor yacht Legend (ex Giant). Diana Yacht Design is finalizing the design for the transformation of Legend yacht. She is a fully classified Class 1 icebreaking ship, which will be converted into a luxury charter yacht, capable of carrying 30 guests, without losing her safety and strength as an icebreaker. The vessel was originally constructed to the highest specifications by the IHC Holland shipyard.

Alongside the completion of the technical and system upgrades of this magnificent Icebreaker, extensive modifications to her exterior will be made. The stern will be extended by 3.6 metres and will be equipped with a swim platform and a swimming pool. The helicopter landing pad will be commercially certified and a submarine will be stored in a garage on the forward deck.

The Legend yacht project is being managed by Verkerk Yachting Projects, the design and the engineering is performed by DIANA Yacht Design and she will be fully Lloyds certified. (Solas passenger yacht 30 pax )

Explorer yacht Legend will be used for adventurous luxury yacht charters in the remote areas of the world, such as Antarctica, Greenland and the North Pole.
