70m Yacht Concept Project Ida Pfeiffer: for the world’s coldest waters

Gill Schmid Design together with Dorries Yachts have created the new 70-metre Ice Class Explorer Project Ida Pfeiffer capable of cruising in the coldest and most remote cruising areas. With the steel hull and aluminium superstructure this yacht is powered by diesel electric propulsion, suitable for long-range cruising in any conditions.

Project Ida Pfeiffer is designed to provide storage to a large number of water toys, including submarines, tenders and rescue boats, makeing it more appealing to her guests to explore the best yachting destinations. Taking off and landing in style is possible when visiting the yachting shows and events, including the Monaco Grand Prix and Cannes Film Festival, which implises that this 70-metre luxury yacht has a great potential to become a popular charter yacht.

Accommodation layout sleeps up to 12 guests in 6 cbains, icnluding a spacious owner’s suite and five airy  guest cabins. There is also plenty of space to accommodate 16 crew memebers.
