46m Sanlorenzo ACHILLES yacht leaving port of Livorno

Italian photographer and yacht-spotter Roberto Malfatti has sent us these images and a great video of the 46m Sanlorenzo-built luxury motor yacht Achilles leaving the Port of Livorno in Italy. The vessel was amongst the finalists for the prestigious World Superyacht Awards 2013 and features naval architecture as well as exterior styling by Sanlorenzo, with beautiful interior by Francesco Paszkowski Design.

The 46Steel luxury yacht Achilles is the 4th yacht that has been delivered in the 46 metre series. Her superstructure has three decks: the main deck, the upper deck and the sky lounge, which are constructed from aluminium.

The displacement hull, which is constructed of steel comprises two more decks: the lower deck, which accommodates the guests and crew cabins, and the under-lower deck where the technical and service zones are situated.

Achilles is capable to crossing the ocean safely and independently thanks to two Caterpillar 2,040 HP engines, which power her up to a cruising speed of 15 knots and a top speed of 17 knots. At 12 knots her range without refuelling is 4,000 nautical miles.
